The Nikkei 225 and Hang Seng Index slipped, while Singapore’s STI hit a fresh all-time high. The US dollar rebounded, pressuring the yen and Aussie. Gold fell below its 50-day moving average, and crude oil extended losses after OPEC+ announced a larger-than-expected production increase for August.
