Strong Earnings and Bernanke Testimony Pushes Dow and S&P to Record Highs

nvestors pushed the Dow and S&P 500 to new trading highs Thursday, as they welcomed a batch of strong earnings and a drop in jobless claims.
The Dow Jones industrial average gained more than 100 points, or 0.7%, while the S&P 500 also rose 0.7%, to an all-time high.

The Nasdaq rose slightly to trade at the highest levels in over a decade.
