China’s Inflation Up 5.5%

China’s inflation rate continued to surge in May climbing another 5.5 percent. This is the highest level in 34 months despite efforts by authorities to curb spending and ease the pace of price increases.

Food prices jumped 11.7 percent with warnings that prices will continue to rise.
