Robert Sinche, global head of currency strategy at Royal Bank of Scotland Group PlcÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s RBS Securities unit, said in an interview today that the Australian dollar is set to make gains in the new year.
Ã¢â‚¬Å“WeÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ve had a very accommodative monetary posture around the world, thatÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s been good for risk appetite, and certainly the Australian dollar has been a big beneficiary,Ã¢â‚¬Â Sinche said on Bloomberg Television. Ã¢â‚¬Å“ItÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s been good for growth and commodity prices and as long as those trends are in place, we think the Aussie dollar is the main beneficiary in the currency space.Ã¢â‚¬Â
