EU Monetary Affairs Commissioner Olli Rehn announced today that banks in the European Union will be subjected to a new series of stress tests starting next February. The announcement followed a meeting of the EU finance ministers resulting in a message that the eurozone was on track for a recovery but the banking sector remained a risk.
