US New Jobless Claims Fall More Than Expected

The US Labor Department said the number of people seeking unemployment benefits last week fell more than expected to 502,000. This provides evidence that unemployment is easing but the Fed is still worried that the US could be facing a “jobless recovery” where unemployment continues to rise, even though overall, the economy is positive.
