How the Fed Prepares Its Minutes

The Wall Street Journal has a write up of how the Fed prepares it minutes. Its interesting to note that the full transcripts are released with a five-year lag as opposed to the minutes.

The process commences even before the meeting begins with a Board of Governors staffer writing up a summary of the staff’s economic and financial analyses, which are delivered at the start of each meeting.
