Greece Forced to Wait for Next Rescue Payment

Despite protestations that the next bailout payment is needed by the middle of the month in order to make the next round of salary and pension payments, Greece has been told it must wait until early November. The meeting scheduled for October 13th where it was expected the payment would be approved has been canceled.

Eurogroup chairman Jean-Claude Juncker told a group of European finance ministers that Greece will be able to meet upcoming payments and there will be no issues delaying the next payment until early November.
