Bank of England Holds Rates at 0.5%

The Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) has voted to maintain interest rates at 0.5 percent and offered no information on an extension of its earlier Quantitative Easing spending program. The most recent figures showed that Consumer Prices Index (CPI) inflation rose to 3.2% in October, well above the target rate of 2%.
